A Quick Introduction

Hello CHFTY community, I am Sean Funke aka TionSol. I have recently been named the CEO of CHFTY and alongside my business partner, and now CTO, Thomas Cadle aka BlockChief we will be delivering the future of CHFTY.

Nearly a year ago to the date, this team officially committed to launching a food-focused NFT project called CHFTY Pizzas led by Spike Mendelsohn and Tom Colicchio. Since the team’s formation we have seen an incredible, food obsessed community come together by opening up their pantry, sharing their recipes and telling their experiences with food. It is with this ethos in mind that we will continue to build CHFTY.

We believe that the next decade will see socially positive applications significantly impact all industries. We are building CHFTY so that it becomes this driving force to impact the F&B industry.

So, what is CHFTY?

CHFTY is a rewards application that benefits its users every time they eat. Whether it’s a Saturday barbecue in the park, your morning cereal, a passed down family recipe, or a local chef’s tasting menu at your neighborhood’s hottest restaurant; CHFTY will become the place to share your food experiences.

The core experience of the app has users sharing their meals with fellow CHFTY community members. By sharing their daily food content with the CHFTY community, users will be rewarded with $CHFTY. Users will also be able to complete interactive foodie tasks, encouraging them to try different restaurants, cook new recipes, and even challenge the community in cook-off competitions.

It Starts and Ends With Community

Our Discord server’s Show Your Food channel has served as the largest inspiration for this application. Within a single channel you can see dishes from world-renowned restaurants, beautifully plated meals from home, unique dining experiences, or even kitchen mishaps! For some posters, the picture tells the full story, for others we have incredibly detailed and impassioned stories sharing their experience with food. Both are incredibly valued.

By creating a convenient, rewarding and fulfilling experience for our CHFTY community, CHFTY will become the home for all of these food stories.

Win + Win + Win = CHFTY

This is our golden formula. Creating a “Win” scenario for the three stakeholders of the CHFTY ecosystem is how we will create a rewarding and lasting experience for our users. These three ‘Winners’ are the CHFTY Users, F&B Brands, and the CHFTY Team.

First and Foremost

Beginning with the ecosystem’s most important participant: CHFTY’s Users. Without an engaged, and excited community CHFTY will not succeed. It is our job to ensure that the CHFTY experience is seamless, non-intrusive, and easy to use. We know much better than to get between a hungry foodie and their meals ;)

While we hope the social experience we provide our CHFTY users will generate significant value alone, we also want to guarantee a “Win” for our users. Rewarding user contributions to the community will come in the shape of our native token $CHFTY. $CHFTY will be spent on gamified in-app experiences, as well as tangible CHFTY offerings for delicious CPG products, rewarding discounts, and unique dining experiences.

Competition Galore

The rabbit hole of participants across the F&B industry truly is dizzying. Walk into any grocery store and you are ambushed by thousands of different products. Looking for a place to grab lunch? Google Maps will suggest a dozen restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The competition for your appetite is fierce!

Our next winning participant in the CHFTY equation: F&B Brands. Brands want people to talk about their products, share their recommendations with friends, and ultimately gain more customers. The most effective way to gain a new customer is through word of mouth referrals. Influencer marketing has taken over platforms like Instagram because brands understand how valuable a personal vouch for a product can be. Using CHFTY, F&B brands will get to connect with their everyday customers providing incentives for sharing their experiences using their products.

Continued Success

The CHFTY team will work on behalf of its users and partnered brands. Facilitating this symbiotic relationship and continuing to drive respective value enables the continued success for the CHFTY team.

Our “Win + Win + Win’’ formula is derived from traditional loyalty programs, but by incorporating Web3 technologies and enabling our core users to be stakeholders in its continued success we believe that CHFTY will become an extremely disruptive product for the F&B space.

CHFTY Pass Explained

CHFTY will be accessible to people regardless of their Web3 knowledge. All you will need is a mobile device and email and the base user experience will feel no different than any existing application on the internet. However, the full experience of the application will be unlocked with ownership of the CHFTY Pass.

Think of the CHFTY Pass as a premium version of the application, unlocking all the features and benefits. The pass enables users to earn $CHFTY on every post, unlock exclusive opportunities, and create a gamified experience.

All CHFTY Pizza owners will receive exclusive and limited edition CHFTY Passes based on their ownership count and certain pizza attributes. With varying levels of rarity, attributes, that can yield greater rewards. The more you post and interact on CHFTY the better your pass can become.

As the CHFTY community continues to expand, additional base passes will be generated via public mints, and by existing community members.

What’s coming next?

The CHFTY Team is continuing to bootstrap its development efforts, and is targeting Q1 2023 for the beta application to be available for the CHFTY community. This application is being built for an engaged community, and the feedback you provide here will be instrumental for CHFTY to reach its full potential.

I will be aiming to publish a new article every few weeks. These articles will mainly cover product updates such as CHFTY Pass details, Tokenomics, brand integrations, and app sneak peeks. I will also share some CHFTY stories, and other topics that may be relevant in the news to our community.
